National Director Association of Vineyard Churches, UK and Ireland
This is essentially a brave book. Quinton Howitt presents facts, statistics and current trends that are sobering, to say the least, yet also presents us in the Church with an unavoidable challenge, to pursue her God-given mandate to care for the poor.

Alexander Venter
Author of Doing Church, Doing Reconcilliation and Doing Healing
Quinton Howitt has written a very helpful and comprehensive study of poverty. He covers the current phenomena and causes of poverty, its biblical understanding, and especially God’s concern for the poor and Christian responsibility to minister to the poor. In all aspects he does a thorough job. I commend this book to leaders in local churches who want to teach on this theme and motivate and implement ministry to the poor.
